Drake Scaffolding have been hard at work recently to construct the scaffolding of Plymouth’s former BHS Store. Standing on the corner of Armada Way and Cornwall Street, the building which is 70,000sq ft, over 2 floors, has been empty now for three years. After the company went into liquidation, 163 branches across the UK were closed, including Plymouth. Apart from a few workmen coming and going, nothing else has happened since the store closed its doors in 2016.
No-one yet knows what will become of the former retail store which is owned by the Plymouth City Council but there has been some activity recently. Some theories suggest that the building will be divided into smaller units but it has been said that it will be good news for the High Street.
Delighted to have been involved with this project
For our part, we were delighted to be involved in such a large project and are looking forward to seeing what will go in there when the work has been completed.
