This recent fire protection scaffolding project by Drake Scaffolding was for a new housing association development in Exeter. The work has been completed in conjunction with a local fire protection company and a housing association.

Fire Protection Scaffolding in Exeter

The scaffolding structure for the housing development was required so that the roofers could install extra fire protection in the cavities of the adjoining properties.

As you can see the housing estate is fairly new however, having originally met fire regulations, recent changes in policy meant that the buildings no longer met these standards and the housing association was required to go back and install additional fire protection. This was to bring the building up to date so that it was compliant with fire regs and that every aspect of health and safety was met to protect the residents.

Protecting Residents of the Development

Obviously the residents are the priority and with a job like this we have to work around those that live there as well as visitors and passers by. We are required to work quickly and carefully and to ensure that we are mindful and considerate to those that live on the development.

Rising to the Challenge

Our jobs often require scaffolding for new construction or for renovation of older buildings so this was something different for the team however the principles of scaffolding remain the same and our team rose to the challenge once again with expertise and professionalism.

Being able to offer such a high standard of work, a commitment to health and safety and a real knowledge of the industry makes us supremely confident in the level of service and the work we provide.
