Premier Inn, Lockyers Quay, Plymouth
Supporting roofing works by Stormforce Roofing
We kicked off 2025 at Premier Inn, Lockyers Quay, providing full scaffolding access to support roofing works carried out by Stormforce Roofing. The site required a robust and well-planned scaffold design to ensure safe, uninterrupted access throughout the project.
Working closely with the team at Stormforce Roofing, we delivered a solution that met both safety and efficiency requirements on a prominent waterfront location.
Co-op, Plymouth – Full Exterior Refresh
This project involved erecting scaffolding around a busy Co-op store in Plymouth while the shop remained fully operational. With high public footfall throughout the day, careful planning was essential.
Our team ensured the scaffolding allowed contractors to carry out a full exterior refresh while keeping access points clear, maintaining safety standards and minimising disruption to customers and staff.
Plymouth Community Homes – Residential Blocks (via Mitie)
This large-scale project included scaffolding across three residential blocks for Plymouth Community Homes, delivered via Mitie. The work required coordinated access across multiple elevations, with safety and resident consideration a top priority.
Drone imagery captured the full scope of the project, showcasing the scale of the installation and the precision involved in delivering safe access solutions across an occupied residential environment.
Plymouth High School for Girls
Summer roofing works with Stormforce Roofing
The summer holidays provided the ideal window to work on Plymouth High School for Girls, allowing essential roofing works to be completed without disrupting the school day.
We supplied scaffolding for Stormforce Roofing, enabling safe and efficient access throughout the project. School projects are always carefully timed, and working during term breaks ensures minimal impact on staff and pupils while maintaining the highest safety standards.
YMCA – Plymouth
During the summer, we also completed a scaffolding installation for Ian Williams at the YMCA in Plymouth.
Social Housing Block – Exterior Refurbishment
We supported the refurbishment of a large social-housing block undergoing power washing and exterior decoration. Our scaffolding provided full access for contractors to complete the works efficiently and safely.

BT Site, Torquay
Roofing support with Stormforce Roofing & Hoist Hire
At a BT site in Torquay, we worked alongside Stormforce Roofing and Hoist Hire to deliver a coordinated scaffolding solution that ensured safe, efficient access for roofing works.

NASC Re-Certification Achieved
Alongside our project work, 2025 also saw Drake Scaffolding successfully achieve NASC re-certification. This accreditation reflects our ongoing commitment to best practice, safety compliance and industry standards.
