One of our more recent Plymouth scaffolding jobs involved installing scaffolding at the Crown and Anchor Pub on The Barbican. This was not the first time we had been contracted to carry out work at these premises as we completed a project two years ago here. This time we worked with our friends at Falcon Environmental Services.
Scaffolding access to the whole building
The reason for the scaffold was to give access to the team at Falcon so that they could power wash the building. Being in a coastal area, the building is very exposed and requires regular cleaning in order to keep it looking at its best. Often, we are contracted to do jobs at this time of year to prepare buildings for the busy summer period with thousands of tourists visiting the area as the weather warms up. As you can see below, the team needed access to every level to ensure that they could effectively access all areas.
Before and after the scaffolding
Of course, with any job we try to be in and out as quickly as possible and with summer on its way, you don’t want the scaffolding to be up for too long. We worked quickly and effectively to erect the scaffold for the Falcon team to do their job before removing it.
A Plymouth scaffolding job with a view
Being up so high certainly gives us some spectacular views like this out across the Barbican. Just enough time to get a few photos before the team had to finish the job.
