This is not the first project of this kind that we have been tasked with and we are delighted to be working with Plymouth Community Homes on this current housing association scaffolding project. When we work on this type of building, it is usually because it is going to be repaired or maintained. Obviously, as the scaffolding is a big job, it makes sense to have everything done at the same time.
Working with local contractors
Working with contractors means that we have to work to guidelines, deadlines and make sure everything is in place for them to get on with the job. Once the team at Drake have erected the scaffolding, the contractors will then be able to move in and work on the roofing, pressure washing and redecoration of this sizeable building.
Large housing association scaffolding project
Before we commence anything, we have to carry out a full site survey and inspection. We have to make sure that our team are able to access all areas of the building safely and that we carry out work around residents, neighbours and passers-by. We can’t just get stuck in and start putting the scaffolding up, the job requires careful planning and consideration. We need to have a detailed plan to ensure we have the right materials and the right number of staff on site. We can then effectively manage the job safely and efficiently.
Once the scaffolding work is done
Of course, what goes up must come down and upon completion of the work to restore and repair the buildings, we then go back on to the site and remove the scaffolding safely and working around people as necessary. Our team work hard to ensure that any work is undertaken with minimum disruption.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our work and our attention to detail. If you would like more information about our scaffolding services, please contact us on 01752 719515
